When this treatment is required:

When the pulp in the interior of your teeth becomes infected and damaged, bacteria can spread from that infection to your gums and jawbone. Without treatment, the tooth will die. That’s why root canal treatment is advised to remove the infected pulp tissue from within the tooth.

Step-1- In this surgical procedure, at first an opening is made through the crown of the tooth to gain access to the pulp chamber and remove the infected enamel dentin and some part of the pulp tissue with various instruments

Step-2- After that, each tiny canal inside the root canal system must be identified and cleaned out of its infected tissues using small tapered instruments called files

Step-3- Then, the canals are further prepared using files that open up the canals to a precise taper and length

Step-4- Once the chamber is thoroughly cleaned and dried, your endodontist will fit it with a rubber-like material

Step-5- Now, to add structural stability to the tooth, the canal spaces are further prepared to allow for the placement of posts in the tooth

Step-6- After that, the posts are now placed in the prepared space

Step-7- a dense filling material is injected into the tooth cavity

Step-8- Now finally a special light is applied to harden the material

Step-9- your dentist will advise you for the crown to protect the tooth for future damage

Step-10- That’s why, the tooth must be reshaped before placing the crown

Step-11-Finally, the crown is installed onto the rebuilt tooth
