Rewind To Vintage

Today we are going to have a peek on the Smith's Alarm table clock made in great Britain. In 1931 they were called as Smiths, then called S Smith and Sons (motor accessories) Ltd., decided to enter the domestic clock market and formed, Smiths English Clocks Ltd.

The model which we are going to see is manufactured in 1940. The clock has a circular body made of Aluminium, the front side of the clock has a very pale brown dial with the alarm time setting at the top and the Logo at the bottom.

Like all the table clocks the back side consists of the four crowns or the winding keys, one for the time setting, the alarm time setting and other two for the winding of the alarm and the clock itself. The Alarm off switch as is at the top of the clock like in most of the table clocks. And this clock also has a handle at the top.

This clock has some higher ringing sound, when the alarm rings, which would definitely wake you up how deep you were sleeping.
