2023 GRAMMY® Interview: Patrizio "Teezio" Pigliapoco

We talked to one of the biggest names in music production, the multi-platinum recording/mixing engineer and Auto-Tune Artist Patrizio “Teezio” Pigliapoco.

For the 65th Annual GRAMMY Awards, Teezio has been nominated for Best R&B Album for his work on Chris Brown’s Breezy (Deluxe) and earned two participation nominations for Best Rap Album (Jack Harlow’s Come Home The Kids Miss You) and Best Melodic Rap Performance (Jack Harlow’s “First Class”).

Teezio walks us through how he worked with the R&B legend Chris Brown and how Brown’s use of Auto-Tune differs from other artists. He also explains how integral Auto-Tune has been to the development of Chris Brown’s vocals and what he believes made Jack Harlow’s “First Class” such a hit.

A two-time GRAMMY nominee, Teezio shares his thoughts on the professional value of the GRAMMYs - winning or not - and how excited he was for his first nomination.
