The Gilmore Car Museum

About 90 miles west of Detroit is an auto museum, called simply the Gilmore Car Museum. But you can’t call THIS one just ANOTHER auto museum! It is a fabulous collection of vehicles, from the very first cars created up to the present. There are cars that represent almost every manufacturer in the country (and a few foreign ones), from Ford to Chrysler to all GMC cars to Corvette to Stutz Bearcats, Packards, and Duesenbergs. The volume of cars represented there is staggering! Better wear your best walking shoes to visit this place!

The Gilmore Museum plays host to a great many events that are put on to foster experiences that connect people with the history, heritage, and social impact of the automobile. There are amazing events for the entire family. You can enjoy classic car shows, drive-ins, motorcycle shows, events for children, and more.

Ticket prices for the museum (not for the drive-in car shows) range from $16 for Adults and Seniors, down to $11 for Youths 11-17, free for children 10 and under AND Active Duty Military (with ID card), or two-day passes for $28. Well worth your visit, whether Winter or Summer!
