FIR Can be Registered for Non-Payment of Maintenance under the Section 31 of the DV Act - Madras HC

The Madras High Court, in a judgement against a petition for quashing of criminal proceedings under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act of 2005. The Petition was ultimately quashed on the basis that maintenance was paid by the husband, and there was proof for the same. However, there was also an observation made by the court saying that FIR Can be made for non payment of Maintenance under the DV Act. We bring you the full story of the case in this video.
