Honda CRF300L - Hitting Desert Mountain Passes

Early to bed, early to rise...so I can ride before the heat gets unbearable.
That was the idea anyway. What was also the idea was to hit two mountain passes out in the Southwestern Utah desert. Thought that would make an interesting ride.
First was an ascent of Hell Hole. A very steep, loose path that has some very gnarly sections. The CRF300L handled Hell Hole well, I was getting up quite easily. However, I did make a mistake and crashed just before the exit. Trapping my right leg under my pannier, I was quite happy to have been wearing the Gaerne SG12 boots...probably would have had a severe ankle twist if I had been wearing something else!
After exiting Hell Hole I rode south and made my way up to Bull Dog Pass, this ride starts again in the low desert and this pass doesn't get as high up in elevation as Hell Hole but still is a fun ride but the heat was really cranking at this point so I pushed right on through since stopping only exacerbates the misery. Got to keep that air moving! Great ride regardless, probably just shy of 100 miles and a good way to spend the morning. The Honda CRF300L rode great!
