After preparing the trail with the scarifier rake, I hooked up the Ironcraft UM-56 tiller and let it chew up the remaining roots. You will probably notice smoke at one point in the video. That was the PTO shaft clutch slipping and the friction heating up the clutch plates. Likely had oil on them, so that burned off, producing the smoke. I guess, anyway. I did about 7 or 8 passes all total, and that tiller chopped up even the larger roots near the bigger pine trees. Honestly, I am quite impressed with the tiller. It is proving to be more handy to have around than I suspected it would be.

Next step will be to load up the bucket on the front end loader to scrape off the crown of that rise in the middle of the path between the gazebo and the target area. Probably will use the excess dirt to build up that berm somewhat too,
