As the name implies, this is Masamune's first battle as the Date commander. I actually enjoy the Date storyline quite a bit. Doubly so for showing Masamune dealing with his eye, instead of him just always having the eyepatch.

This is technically more Kojuro's story than it is Masamune's, but they both get plenty of screen time. Which is nice, it's good to have a focus on fewer characters to get more across with them.
