Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe spent six years detained in Iran from 3 April 2016 to 16 March 2022. Found officially guilty of plotting to topple the Iranian government, she and her husband maintain she was imprisoned as leverage for a debt owed by the UK. In this talk, Ratcliffe's local MP Tulip Siddiq - who worked on the case for all six years - explores the background behind the case and how it ultimately got resolved.

Tulip Siddiq is a British politician serving as the Member of Parliament for Hampstead and Kilburn since 2015. A member of the Labour Party, she previously was the Camden London Borough Councillor for Regent's Park from 2010 until 2014.
