MAKATI CITY (June 23, 2021) -- "I have never sold drugs in my entire life" has been a consistent statement of Marlon Peroramas a.k.a. Loonie, during proceedings of the trumped-up drug case filed against him, his sister-manager, and their staff.

The Makati Regional Trial Court dismissed yesterday (June 22, 2021) the drug-selling case the Makati City Police Station Drugs Enforcement Unit (SDEU) filed against the Peroramas siblings and their rap production crew.

Peroramas and his younger sister Idyll are now consulting with their lawyers of an option to file counter charges against individuals who planted evidences during the supposed buy-bust operation.

"God knows we never sold drugs. Those shown in the media last September 2019 were all planted. It was an inhumane set-up," remarked the sister-manager.

“We can refute the lies that were told in court and in media by those individuals. We have proof and we will follow due process,” she added.

“As I’ve said during the media interview in September 2019, we were there in Makati City to visit a dying fan with leukemia whose aunt booked Loonie for a special appearance on his birthday. It turns out it was all a set-up to corner us into that basement parking lot of the hotel,” she further added.

The Makati Regional Trial Court findings noted the following:

▪︎ "Inconsistencies in the testimony of the poseur-buyer and that the details of his testimony are contrary to human experience."

▪︎ "None of the prosecution witnesses identified the drug evidence in open court as seized from the accused."

▪︎The required witnesses were absent during the alleged buy-bust operation. "There was no evidence presented or there was even no attempt to justify" their absence.

▪︎"Unjustified deviation from the chain of custody rule."

According to the order, one of the poseur-buyer's statements “demonstrates the witness’s lack of respect to the court and the witness’s testimony under oath.”

The rap artist thanked his lawyers, Kenneth Tiu, Abraham Gutoc and Emil-Anton Coronel, for being "our partners in ending this injustice done to me and my family."

"We offer this victory to God and to everyone who's been supporting us through and through," Loonie ended. ###
