Explained: Georgia-Azerbaijan International Relations

"Geography has made us neighbors. History has made us friends. Economics has made us partners, and necessity has made us allies."--John F Kennedy. Although JFK was not speaking about Georgia and Azerbaijan, his quote could not be a more perfect description of the relationship between these two countries. Though they come from different cultural backgrounds, a diverse force of domestic politics and international geopolitics has allowed these two countries to forge a strong alliance.
