Expectation vs. Reality: AI travel app Fails in TOKYO

Описание к видео Expectation vs. Reality: AI travel app Fails in TOKYO

We tested my newly built travel app with a Japanese girl on a one-day Tokyo itinerary. Built in just two days, the goal was to see if it could deliver unique, personalized recommendations for both locals and travelers. The app suggested some interesting spots, but the advice was still a bit generic, missing key details like wait times and booking requirements. We planned four activities—an organic restaurant, Red Tokyo Tower, Shibuya Sky, and a hidden udon shop—but only managed one due to unexpected crowds and delays.
The experience—from Shibuya to Tokyo Tower—was relaxed and fun, with perfect weather adding to the vibe. With no camera crew, no scripts, and no retakes, it was just me, the app, and a spontaneous adventure. My guest enjoyed herself and gave valuable feedback on improvements, noting that the app answered travel questions well but could better account for location busyness and reservations. Reflecting on this test, I identified three key areas to improve: adding more specific data, factoring in wait times, and supporting advance booking options. This experience brought valuable insights to help make this travel app truly exceptional!
