In this lecture, we will cover Class 7 geography NCERT chapter 5. "Water" (part 1)

In part 1 of chapter 5, we will study about the basics and details of water and the water cycle. We will cover why earth is like a terrarium, and what are the various sources of saline and fresh water. Then, we will understand the concept of salinity, and take the example of the Dead Sea, and also, study about the distribution of water on earth and world water day. Lastly, we will cover the three broad kinds of ocean movements - waves, tides and ocean currents.

All the points of the chapter have been explained in a very simple manner. This way, it will be very easy to understand these concepts for class 7 exams, as well as, various competitive exams, like UPSC, bank PO, cds, ssc gl, etc.
