AEA HP Carbine/Backpacker Semi-auto 25cal

The AEA HP Backpacker/Assasin/Carbine TD (all the same) in 0.25 caliber has become my new favorite backpacking and truck essential tool 💯🎯

This semi-auto PCP checked off most of the boxes when I was looking out for. It had to be lightweight, compact, versatile, capable, reliable, accurate, high shot count, comfortable, hard hitting, good looking and fun 😁👌

Compact...she measures in at a miniscule 20 inches with folded stock and compensator/moderator removed!! 🤏

Lightweight?.... 5.4lbs 😅 crazy light

Versatile/Capable/Accurate?... folded down w/o moderator in my 24" hiking backpack, great for CQC home defense. extend stock & screw in 4" moderator...take down small game at 50 yards w ease.

High shot count?
The onboard 500cc Carbon Fiber, 3600psi tank provides a listed average of 40+ shots... more realistically, 50-70!

Hard hitting?
Subjective term but anything launching 50+ fpe at the muzzle is good enough for my expect needs for this tool.

Reliable?
Well, here Id grade it as a "B-", at least from reading/hearing the same reviews you probably seen/heard if you been searching. I personally haven't had any issues up to this point but, seems as though the most common issue is the valve pin breaking. I have my fingers crossed and will update this if anything bad happens 🤞👍

Ok... the Cons?
Comes stock with 11mm dovetail rails and no 20mm picatinny rails. Fine if you plan on using a scope with ring mounts but for a smaller, backpack friendly or more tactical application, picc rails are a must.
Not a deal breaker though. Just bought a dovetail-picatinny adapter on Amazon for eight dollars 😉

Fire/Safe switch is "backwards". For those that are proficient or ever handled a rifle styled tool, FIRE is always forward and SAFE is always backwards 🤷

Air pressure sensitive. Too much or too little, she will stop going in semi-auto and turn into single shot/bolt action

Overall.....a solid tool to add to the tool box. I'd easily grade it as a B+ or even an A- 😉👌
