F. Kreisler: Praeludium and Allegro (Arr. Flute and Piano)

Описание к видео F. Kreisler: Praeludium and Allegro (Arr. Flute and Piano)

An arrangement of Fritz Kreisler's Praeludium and Allegro, transcribed for flute and piano (originally for violin and piano) by Oriol López Calle.

I'm playing this transposed transcription in F# minor (the original key is E minor), simply because I'm too stingy to buy a B-footjoint for my flute! The piece just didn't sound right putting the low B's up the octave, so I made life harder on myself and learned it all in F# minor.

Please excuse the clicky F# key - Apparently the wrong rod is in my flute! As a result, the inner rod is too short, making the F# rattle and click because it's too loose as a result of the rod being too short. Appears there was a balls up at the flute repair workshop (which I shall not name). Not best pleased about that, but mistakes do happen, I guess.

If you have any complaints about the transposition to F# minor, or my very noisy F# key, please write to Mr. Shuichi Tanaka at Altus Flutes, and ask him to kindly send me an inline Altus 1607 with a B-footjoint. 😉 And if anyone's flute rod is too long, it might be mine!

(I currently play on a the same old student Altus that I've had since I was 18. It's probably time for an upgrade, but I believe that a good flute player can sound good on pretty much any flute...! Which is why I still play on a Yamaha 211 from time to time, just to prove a point! Prove me wrong, flute companies, and send me your flutes! 😄)

Other than the F# minor transposition, and clicky key, I hope you enjoy my rendition.
