The Congolese government says elections in the DRC will take place in December as planned. The Elections have been pushed back on countless occasions due to an alleged lack of resources. Critics say President Joseph Kabila is determined to hang onto power and is attempting to rig the process. Meanwhile, the Kingdom of Lesotho says it appreciates South Africa's role in that country. This is despite concerns from within the country that Pretoria is not an honest broker. It's been reported that some within Lesotho have influenced a few countries in the region to ask South Africa to recuse itself as facilitator. President Cyril Ramaphosa who was SADC facilitator in Lesotho has now appointed retired Deputy Chief Justice Dikgang Moseneke as his envoy to Lesotho.
