Top 10 Most Expensive NES Games

It's absolutely wild how expensive video games can be. If you would have told an 8-year-old me that there would be Nintendo cartridges worth many thousands of dollars, I would have thought you were absolutely bonkers. When I was a kid places were practically giving these games away; I can't tell you how many games I bought from my local video rental store for just a few dollars each. I was able to pick up my Sega Saturn and a bunch of games for peanuts because nobody wanted them at the time.

When I first got the idea to make this video and went to PriceCharting.com to check the most expensive NES games, I was surprised to see how many of the top ten were variants of games that were available for much cheaper in other cartridge variations or were promotional cartridges produced for competitions. I was more interested in seeing what were the most expensive games that couldn't be picked up for much cheaper or weren't actually unique experiences meant for mass consumption. So, there won't be any Nintendo World Championships in this list or any 5 screw variations; I will probably make a separate video about the most expensive NES cartridges, because I do find these interesting as well. I did decide to include unlicensed games; I do not know why; I think that was a mistake.
