Webinar teaser: Sample Preparation, Extraction and Analysis of Cannabis

For this purpose, there are three separate days, where the three participating companies Retsch, CEM and Shimadzu will conduct online webinars. Each webinar lasts 90 min and will also include an online demonstration. The webinars are free, hands-on, and provide a comprehensive overview of the entire process route to analytics.

Shimadzu: Cannabis Analytics
In the first seminar day, we will go into the analytics of cannabis ingredients and contaminants. We will focus on active ingredient testing (THC and cannabinoids) using HPLC, terpene analysis using GCMS, heavy metal determination using ICPMS, and pesticide/mycotoxin analysis using LCMS. We briefly introduce the techniques and go live to the instruments, where product specialists give hands-on demonstrations of the analysis techniques.

CEM: Quick and easy sample preparation for cannabis and hemp analysis
Cannabinoids are becoming increasingly important in pain and palliative medicine. The available therapeutic forms of cannabis flowers and cannabis extracts differ in terms of their pharmacokinetic properties. The most important therapeutically used cannabinoids tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) show different active properties (analgesic, antispasmodic, appetite stimulant, etc.).
