Luke 6:38 - "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."

This verse has been misunderstood by interpreting the giving into material giving, mostly financial offering. It is often used in some churches, even today as a verse to support giving more to the church. But did Jesus really mean that?
