After Cyclonus was branded a Terrorcon, he was tasked with creating the ultimate weapon to destroy our heroes while Unicron finds a way out of the transwarp rift. Along with the help of Sideways and the other Terrorcons, Cyclonus has created a plague of hatred. A wave of chaos descends upon the universe and the Autobots and the Maximals must travel through space to find a cure to the viral madness.

Unfortunately, the only known cure, the Matrix of Leadership, is under the possession of the Terrorcons! And as long as Unicron's blood flows through his metal frame, Cyclonus will never surrender the Matrix. Only the combined power of the Maximals, Predacons, Autobots, and maybe even Decepticons, will stop The Knights of Unicron!
