Tornado Bugs demo reel 5 V25411

Описание к видео Tornado Bugs demo reel 5 V25411

Tornado Bug series footage (74 clips, total) filmed with a Sony a7iii and Cannon 100-400mm lens at realtime and 120fps. Raw and composited in various ways to create artistic renderings of these flying insects.

Most any summer you can find swarms of tiny little flies circulating over the lawn or other damp grassy area. These swarms can be somewhat sparse or form large dense clouds, but are almost always shaped like a tornado of sorts, hence the nick-name "Tornado Bugs". These little insects are actually known as "Fungus Gnats", and usually live in areas with damp soil where their larvae hatch and develop in as little as 10 days. These swarms are typically made up of one female and a ton of males hoping to mate with her. Like a school of fish, swarms may also confuse predators, helping to protect the entire mass.
