Wahiawā Value-Added Product Development Center

As an immigrant, the creativity and entrepreneurship of the USA never ceases to amaze me. The Wahiawā Value-Added Product Development Center is a 33,000 square foot food manufacturing facility developed by Leeward Community College and the State of Hawai’i to promote the growth of Hawaiʻiʻs agricultural industry and entrepreneurial community. On this big endeavor, the City and County of Honolulu legislators, State of Hawaii Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism), the Hawaiʻi Department of Education (Hawai'i Public Schools) and the University of Hawaiʻi system came together to develop a commercial kitchen open to students and local businesses!
