I had decided not to shoot the "mundane" Silverliner, and missed catching the action. Railhead Railfan, who was also there, kindly gave me permission to use his shot.

Demonstrating exactly why the Gel Trains are needed, a northbound West Trenton Line train slides through Forest Hills station on slick rails from leaf residue and a light drizzle as the Gel Train approaches heading south. Listen closely, and you can hear the radio conversation between the SEPTA engineer and the dispatcher, asking for permission to return to Forest Hills to make the stop. After catching this, we chase the Gel Train through Philmont and Bethayres stations.

*UPDATE 1/30/22* Later in the same day this video was posted, SEPTA announced the sale and scrapping of their entire AEM-7/ALP-44 fleet. This would be the last time we would catch the SEPTA AEM-7s in action.
