That was the best-quality upload of this music video I could find online. I have replaced the audio track with a high-quality one of this version of the song, which is the album version, and this involved slowing down the footage very slightly, as it was running a bit too fast compared to the HQ audio track I am using. The source video was slightly out of sync, with the picture running a bit late compared to the sound, so I have fixed that. I have also added optional subtitles for the lyrics.

This song was written by Claudia Brücken, Ralf Dörper, Michael Mertens and Susanne Freytag. This track was produced by Stephen Lipson, and was released in 1985. According to Wikipedia, the single reached No. 9 in the Netherlands, No. 15 in Belgium, No. 17 in New Zealand, No. 21 in the UK, and No. 30 in West Germany.

I have been unable to find an official presentation of the lyrics to this song. I did find an official presentation of the Mandy Smith cover of it, but this definitely contains some mistakes, at least if considered to apply to the Propaganda original. I have not found any presentation of the lyrics which seems completely accurate. To try and figure out what the correct lyrics are, I have listened to a number of live performances of the song. Presented below and as optional subtitles in the video is my own transcript of the lyrics, but please bear in mind that this may not be entirely accurate. There is one line that all the presentations I have seen on lyrics websites contain but which I cannot make sense of: "Sweet little death just have been lies". However I cannot think of what this phrase should be, so I am keeping it, but placing a comma after "death".
