With some senior players unavailable for the opening match of the 2025 Regional Four-Day Season due to West Indies duties, the Guyana Harpy Eagles will need to appoint a new captain and vice-captain.

The first match against Barbados Pride is scheduled for January 29 at the National Stadium, Providence. In preparation, the Guyana Cricket Board has organised two practice matches, and Tagenarine Chanderpaul and Kemol Savory have been named captains of the respective teams.
