Описание к видео Madi's Law: Mother Advocates for Family Inclusion in Consent after Losing Daughter

⚠️ Trigger Warning: This video contains discussions about suicide and the tragic loss of a young woman due to adverse reactions to medication. Louise Carter joins TaperClinic to share the heartbreaking story of her daughter Madi, who passed away after starting Lyrica (pregabalin), a medication prescribed off-label for anxiety. This interview explores the detailed journey Louise undertook to understand the psychiatric care Madi received before her death. Viewer discretion is advised, especially for those affected by similar experiences or the loss of a loved one to suicide.

Consider supporting Louise Carter's House of Commons petition number 441-01652 known as Madi's Law here: https://www.change.org/p/psychotropic....

Madi's Law advocates for a psychotropic drug safety waiver anytime a new medication is started. This waiver would ensure a caregiver/family member is aware a psychotropic drug was prescribed and is available to watch the patient for symptoms of suicidal ideation or other dangerous adverse reactions until such a time that it's deemed safe for the patient to take the drug.
