Moms and Dads, the Bermuda Aquarium & Zoo (BAMZ) is open and ready for you to bring the family back for a visit. However, because it's been discovered that certain animals can catch coronavirus, strict protocols remain in place to keep everyone safe: two and four legged. BAMZ shut its doors on March 29th after an increase in coronavirus cases on the island and re-opened the aquarium and museum in early May. The zoo area remained closed out of an abundance of caution for the animals until last week.

Our Dianne Brewer and cameraman James Barbosa went to visit the lemurs, flamingos and a 100-year-old tortoise to name a few, and spoke with Dr. Ian Walker, the Bermuda Aquarium and Zoo's Principal Curator and Veterinarian, about their care during the pandemic.
