These wings took me an afternoon to put together and the supplies were very inexpensive. I found the cellophane and garland at the dollar store! Most of the rest of it I had at home already.
Supplies:
Wire Hangers: I used the kind with the plastic covering, but you could use any wire thick enough to hold it's shape but that bends and isn't too heavy.
Duct tape: I used pink, but it comes in many different colors now.
Wire garland: I used silver stars and stripped it of the stars. For a few of the veins that I wanted to be a bit thicker, I twisted it together to make it 2 wires thick.
Translucent Cellophane Paper: Your choice of color. I used iridescent and they looked very much like dragon fly wings!
Silver Duct Tape: Probably the most expensive, but you don't need much. You could probably use regular duct tape or just the clear packing tape. I thought silver was pretty. It is available at hardware stores.
