(3 Nov 2018) Myanmar's President was among voters who turned out to cast ballots in a series of by-elections on Saturday.
Win Myint came to the polling station with family members in Yangon's Tamwe constituency. He was the seat's elected lawmaker, but he vacated it after becoming president earlier this year.
In total, 13 seats are up for grabs, spread between national and regional assemblies. The seats all became vacant through death or resignation.
The poll is being seen as a barometer of the performance and popularity of Aung San Suu Kyi and her national League for Democracy government.
