Exclusive details of Himavad Gopalaswamy Hills which is also called Dakshina Govardhanagiri and Kamalachala. The temple is at a height of 4770 feet from Sea level. Temple is dedicated to Lord Gopalaswamy installed by the rishi “Agasthya”.

ಬಂಡೀಪುರ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಉದ್ಯಾನದ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಹಿಮವದ್ ಗೋಪಾಲಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಬೆಟ್ಟವು ಸಮುದ್ರ ಮಟ್ಟಕ್ಕಿಂತ 1,450 ಮೀಟರ್ ಎತ್ತರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ.

ಈ ದೇವಾಲಯವನ್ನು ಚೋಳ ರಾಜವಂಶದ ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಶೈಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಏಕ-ಶ್ರೇಣಿಯ 'ಗೋಪುರಂ' ಅನ್ನು ಆವರಣದ ಸಂಯುಕ್ತ ಗೋಡೆಯಿಂದ ಬೆಂಬಲಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಒಳಗಿನ ಮುಖಮಂಟಪ, ಅಥವಾ ಮುಖ ಮಂಟಪದಲ್ಲಿ ತ್ಯಾಗದ ಬಲಿಪೀಠ ಮತ್ತು ಧ್ವಜ-ಕಂಬ ಇವೆ. ಮುಖ ಮಂಟಪದ ಮುಂಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೃಷ್ಣಾವತಾರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಹಿಂದೂ ಭಗವಾನ್ ವಿಷ್ಣುವಿನ ಹತ್ತು ಅವತಾರಗಳಾದ 'ದಶವತಾರ' ಚಿತ್ರಿಸುವ ಸುಂದರವಾದ ಶಿಲ್ಪವಿದೆ.
