The track features 2014 Brit Nominee John Grant, whose solo albums Queen Of Denmark and Pale Green Ghosts featured at the top of many end-of-year polls. His voice and lyrical ability for translating hardship into elegance provided the genesis for the album The Feast Of The Broken Heart.

The video proves a fitting accompaniment to Grant's lyrical contribution. "He tackled the story of becoming HIV positive" says Hercules' Andy Butler "and while I mentioned to him that he did not need to go there if he was not comfortable, in that beautifully punky, spirited and courageous way he has about him, he told me that was what the song was going to be about. What came of it is an elegant song featuring John pouring his heart out."

Commenting on the video Butler said - "Collaboration for me is always the most fulfilling when there is an emotional connection with my collaborator. David and I share a great sensitivity, a playful innocence and an optimism around sexuality - this is evident in the video for "I Try To Talk To You." When I viewed the treatment, I was brought to tears by the poignancy of the piece. This sensitivity coupled with his intuition for moving images has created one of the most stimulating video pieces for Hercules ever," says Butler.

John Grant too thought the video "beautifully choreographed and HOT, although I've yet to see a relationship go THAT smoothly."

"I Try To Talk To You" is the second single from the album "The Feast Of The Broken Heart' out now on Moshi Moshi.
