강미선 한국화가.존재의 사유.드로잉, 삶의 철학을 그리다소마미술관.문매헌.신빛 찍다.

강미선 작가는 홍익대학교와 동대학원 동양화과를 졸업하고 중국남경예술대학교에서 미술사학으로
박사학위를 받았다. 강미선의 작업은 화강암의 표면과 같은 독특한 재질 그리고 무한한 반복의 과정을
통한 수행성과 정신성이 특징이다. 한지를 여러 겹 배접하고 두드려 한지 고유의 물성을 살리고 그 위에
은은한 색채의 수묵을 쌓아 이미지를 만든 것이 특징이다. 투박하면서 깊이를 지닌 작품은 고도의 문인화
혹은 선화(禪畵)의 느낌을 선사한다. 2023년부터 ‘수묵명상-묵멍’ 작업을 이어오고 있다.
1985년 관훈미술관에서의 개인전을 시작으로 《談淡書畵담담서화》(소암기념관, 2022),
《水墨, 쓰고 그리다》(금호미술관, 2021), 《觀心관심》(아트사이드갤러리, 2019)등 총 33회의 국내외
초대개인전을 개최하였고 1998년 제20회 중앙일보미술대전 대상 「마음의 풍경」을 수상하였다.
주요 단체전으로 《전남국제수묵비엔날레특별전》(전남문화재단, 2023), 《제주국제비엔날레》
(제주도립미술관, 2022), 《양주팔괴-팔괴정연서화작품전》(중국, 양주팔괴미술관, 2019),
《하얀울림》(뮤지엄산, 2015), 《조르조 모란디: 모란디와의 대화》(국립현대미술관, 2014)등
300여회의 단체전에 참여하였다.

Kang Misun (b. 1961)

Kang Misun graduated from Hongik University and its graduate school with a degree in
Oriental Painting, and obtained a doctorate in art history from the Nanjing University of
the Arts in China. Kang’s work is distinguished by distinctive surface texture similar to
granite and the process of infinite repetition which brings out a sense of performativity
and spirituality in her work. The unique physical properties of her works are achieved
through pounding the paper and applying thin layers of ink. The various shades of ink
on the rough surface show the aspect of literati painting or line drawing. Kang has
presented 33 invitational solo exhibitions both at home and abroad. Since 2023, she
has continuously worked on Meditation on Ink. Some of her notable exhibitions include
her first solo show at Kwanhoon Gallery in 1985, Contemplation (Artside Gallery, 2019),
Ink, Write and Paint (Kumho Museum of Art, 2021), and Kang Misun Calligraphy and
Painting (Soam Memorial Museum, 2022). She was awarded the grand prize at the
20th Joongang Fine Arts Prize for her work Mindscape in 1998. She has participated
in approximately 300 group exhibitions such as the Jeonnam International Sumuk
Biennale Special Exhibition (Jeonnam Culture and Arts Foundation, 2023), the Jeju
International Biennale (Jeju Museum of Art, 2022), Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou
(Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou Museum, 2019), White Echoes (Museum SAN, 2015),
and Giorgio Morandi: Dialogue with Morandi (National Museum of Modern and
