In this lesson, we take what we learned in the last lesson and switch it up a bit. We learn that for loops allow us to loop in reverse. We do this by first setting our iterator variable to our highest desired value in our initialization expression. We also want to set the stopping condition of our iterator for when the iterator variable is less than the desired amount. Our iterator should decrease in intervals after each successful iteration. Understanding for loops in javascript requires understanding increment and decrement operators we learned in past lessons. Now, these are able to combine with loops to help us continue or stop a loop. Make sure to understand the basic parts of a for loop which we covered in previous lessons. Understanding that we provide the initialization of an iterator variable, and how to create conditions as well as how a stopping condition works are key in understanding for loops in programming! Make sure to understand how to use a for loop in JavaScript before moving on from this lesson! Practice writing for loops. Practice looping in reverse.
