About Prominent:
Prominent is a band deeply rooted in the tradition of soul music. Their sound draws from salsa, rare groove, funk, R&B, disco, jazz and hip-hop. Prominent met in high school in the 90s and have since released a handful of albums and singles.

After a long hiatus, this release is the first new music in almost a decade. It's not as much a reunion as it's a rebirth, joined this time around by long-time friend and saxophonist, trumpeter, flutist, horn arranger, orchestrator, and session musician Peter Zimny, the new Prominent sound will skyrocket into the stratosphere. Up there one could find power-driven, fast-moving, funk grooves racing across the skies apace with Burt Bacharachesque oozing slow jams, sprinkled with mellow horns and haunting luxurious falsettos. Some would even say it’s a match made in heaven. The proof will be in the pudding.

Zimny joins Castelo, Coloss and Mr Korac, who feel like they have been doing this thing forever. And ever.
