On November 2, 2024, in Jinja, Uganda, refugee and host community youth celebrated their graduation from a 12-month apprenticeship program.

Supported by the ILO’s PROSPECTS program and funded by the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the initiative collaborated with the Uganda Hotel and Tourism Training Institute (UHTTI), Uganda Hotel Owners Association (UHOA), and the Ministry of Gender, Labour, and Social Development (MGLSD). The program equips participants with hands-on skills in hospitality, bridging the skills gap and addressing youth unemployment.
