They Stole Our Drone!!! Thieves Suck

While visiting the Mirador De La Flor we had our van burglarized. Unbeknownst to us there was a thief in the area that was preying on tourists. We parked within line of sight to the Selena statue, but that didn't stop them. As soon as we walked away they broke into our van and took my mom's purse bag and our drone bag. He simply busted the window and took the two articles that were within reach. According to Corpus Christi they had three burglaries in the same area during the Fiesta De La Flor Festival. The thief was waiting on an un-expecting victim and most likely to a glimpse inside while the van doors were open as other items of value in the van were not taken. The drone was in an unrecognizable Amazon case and the purse was a $10 tote bag. So the thief took what ever item he can grab quickly that was within reach. You would think that with increased criminal activity that police presence would have been greater in a tourist area since criminal activity hurts economy. It's a shame that a highly trafficked area that this happened and the numerous people using the sidewalks from city workers to joggers didn't see a thing. We're very disappointed in Corpus Christi and other than the Selena memorabilia we have no attraction to it.
