We'll be Exploring the Buda Castle District during the night, when the sun has set and the buildings are illuminated by decorative light. The Buda Castle District is one of the most popular attractions of Budapest, it can be a busy area during the day, but as soon as the sun has set and most of tourist groups went for dinners to their hotels, the area becomes very peaceful with a unique atmosphere.

If you have the time to visit the Buda Castle District during the evening when it's already dark, I can highly recommend for you to do that as you'll be able to enjoy the area at a much slower pace.

In this video, we start at Széll Kálmán square where we grab some food at one of our favorite contemporary Asian restaurants:

We then head up to the Castle district using Busline 16 (but buses 16A and 116 can also take you to the district).

We make a brief stop at Rétesvár to grab some Strudels for later:

We then casually explore the various streets of the district and head over to the Matthias Church and the Fishermans Bastion and check out the view of the Pest side of the city from here.

Finally we make our way down on foot to Batthanyi square Subway station to have a peaceful sit next to the Danube river and look at the Parliament Building as we eat the Strudels we bought earlier.
