This phenomena has led to the creation of a number of memorable animated families and, by extension, a veritable treasure trove of animated moms. In fact, it might not be unfair to say that the popularity of the adult animated sitcom – that is, any cartoon marketed towards older demographics – has made the “mom” character a breakout star in her own right.
