Yagami meets up with Kaito at Koi Bride and get into a fight with thigs who were working for Ayabe as part of a test and discover the shop is a front for an Underground Casino. The pair meet Ayabe who gives them the info and shows them picture of his boss Kuroiwa who Yagami humiliated by setting Hamura free, while going to the office Yagami gets attacked by masked men who may have wanted the info.

Yagami discovers that the second victim visited a brothel called Konban Wife before he died and goes there to speak to the girl who was with him only to meet Hamura who orders him to stop looking into the Kyorei Clan murders which causes Yagami to realize the Hamura was involved having deduced that the masked men that attacked him where his boys.

Yagami goes to see Matsugane hoping he could get Hamura to back off but says he can't do nothing telling Yagami that Hamura keeps the family afloat but reckons if they had to decide who to follow between him and Hamura it wouldn't be pretty but just then Kengo arrives with a message for Yagami saying Hamura's to see him at Cafe Alps and not wanting to make things worse for Matsugane, Yagami heads over.

Yagami arrives waiting for Hamura who signals all the customers to leave and has his men beat Yagami up eventually forcing him to fight back beating the stuffing out of Kengo and Ozaki before Hamura tries to have Kengo shoot Yagami but thief that stole Yagami's phone intervene's saving him from getting shot leading into a frantic chase that ends with Yagami and the masked man escaping.

The Thief claims he wanted to apologize for stealing his phone, Yagami on the other hand offers that he joins him but the man refuses claiming the two can't trust each other just yet before saying Yagami's name despite not telling him and takes his leave leaving his mask behind.
