Mid Michigan and CSX Interchange At Elmdale Michigan

Описание к видео Mid Michigan and CSX Interchange At Elmdale Michigan

In this video from August 25, 1989 I was at Elmdale. Elmdale was the southern end of the Turkey Trail line that meandered across lower Michigan. In 1989 the Mid Michigan was operation the line from Elmdale to Greenville.
The video starts with Mid Michigan GP 9 #5967 bringing cars for CSX. They then wait for Q326 out of Grand Rapids to bring them cars to take back north. The Mid Michigan crew used the siding and interchange track to switch the cars for Lowell to the front of the train.
The line from here to Greenville has been gone for many years with only a short section in Lowell for King Milling still in service.
