Western Electric 620A2 phone system. Circa 1980. Everything you see here except the plastic box that the phone lines plug into and the X-Link were salvaged from an old phone company garage and brought back to life. The idea behind this project was the make something that is somewhat complicated like the 1A2 phone system so simple that anyone could hook phones up to it without any tools or technical knowledge. Special thanks to the guys at sundance-communications.com for helping me learn how to make this system work, and to modify the 400D cards to work with a modern phone ringer.
