Our beloved camper and home finally gave up on us. With rust creeping in and maintenance costs piling up, it's time for something new.

In this first episode of our new van build series, we go on the hunt for a new van to convert into our next off-grid home on wheels. After shopping around a bit, we finally land on the perfect van for us.

Citroën Relay 35 L3H2 (Peugeot Boxer/Fiat Ducato/Vauxhall Movano)
In our opinion the best van for converting to a camper. The widest you can get - wide enough to sleep across the vehicle - and comes with lots of smart design features that make it ideal for a camper conversion.

We’ve made a few changes since filming this – we swapped out the belted bench seats for a new box seat to free up space, add storage, and make things look a bit cleaner. A few of the drawers have been replaced too, but the core layout and functionality is still the same.
