Описание к видео Podcast ø22 : Dylan God

INTERVIEW

ø1 - What is your producing set-up ?

In our own studio in northern Italy now we have two Macbook Pros, MOTU Ultralite Mk3 Audio Interface, a Korg MS-20 and a Fender Stratocaster both with dedicated pedalboard (Roland Space Echo RE-201, Digitech Whammy, Electro Harmonix Big Muff US Version, BOSS TR-2 Tremolo, Marshall Amp MG30DFX) Zoom H4n, Akai APC 40 and various midi controllers.

ø2 - Where do you pick your inspiration ?

Definitely Sci-fi movies, industrial, shoegaze and post punk music, outer space related sounds and atmospheres and any realease in the back catalog of Sandwell District.

ø3 - Could you tell us more about Dylan God project ? Why did you decide to work together ?

We started working together when we realized after years of clubbing in north of italy among Milan and Turin mostly, that we were very keen on the same genre of Techno and it's several shades. Struggling with the lack of a proper club scene in those cities and always following our favourite artists coming from places where Club Culture is well established we grew up in order to reach our own sounds (even though we both come from very different backgrounds)which are still developing.

ø4 - How could you describe your ep "Phased Array" on ARTS ?

Our latest work is part of a route to reach the sounds we imagine in our minds. it's just another step forward but we definitely have to make a long journey.

ø5 - Could you tell us more about your own new label RLGN ?

RLGN will be our platform that we will use to spread new releases since we always preferred the "DIY".

ø6 - How did the meeting with James Aparicio helped you in your project ?

We met James in London few year ago and we worked with him on the earlier works (very different compared to the latest) and he helped us and teach us to sort out most of the technical stuff during production. He has been a great teacher alongside Pat(Coefficient) that is our mastering engineer.

ø7 - Some words about your next projects and releases ?

Will be probably our first work on RLGN. Now we need time to experiment new ideas in studio.

BIOGRAPHY

Dylan God is a faceless project born in 2012 in London after the encounter of Andrea and Alberto Serra with the sound engineer James Aparicio.
After the first production the project evolves into some more solid, sonic and edgy sounds with industrial/techno influences with the release of TEST EP on Labrynth in 2014 and Phased Array on Emmanuel's ARTS in 2015 alongside ton of heavy remixes of various tracks such as TSTI, Barks, Vanity and more.
In 2015 Dylan God founded their own label RLGN created as a platform for exploring space through evolution of sound.
