IBC Totes For Firewood

Here's an excellent way to store firewood neatly and efficiently. Stacking firewood for seasoning in IBC totes make it a simple process and is one of the best methods for firewood storage ideas. They can stack one on top the other so you can conserve ground space using them.
I've noticed that others who pick up IBC totes don't fit many in their truck or trailer due to their large size, so I pointed out that you can load an extra row on top.
I discuss the pros and cons when using this style of container for firewood storage and seasoning purposes. They are also a good way to measure out your firewood amounts and to keep it off the wet ground. They are made to be transportable so your firewood can be moved around your property or loaded up for a delivery with a forklift, skid steer, load-all etc.
IBC stands for intermediary bulk container. An IBC tote is an industrial fluid storage container used to store fluids in between the manufacturing and packaging or usage process. There are two sizes available, 275 or 330 gallon. The smaller size holds just about a face cord, the larger size holds just under a face cord. When searching for them, try finding totes that has non-toxic rated fluid to protect yourself and the environment from harm.
Pros and cons:
Stacking firewood tightly in the tote allows you to conserve space and measure out amounts more accurately, but the wood doesn't get the best of wind/air circulation. Loose filling of totes help the firewood season better.
You can find these at companies that use them in there business for storing fluids and you may find some without the bladder available. However if you acquire them with the bladder, you can maybe find a use for it or put it back into the market whether by donation, giveaway or sale.
