Printrbot Simple Metal Sound Dampening Feet Tests

Описание к видео Printrbot Simple Metal Sound Dampening Feet Tests

My Printrbot was making enough noise to be annoying, so I decided to test out some feet designs to limit the loudness. It worked fantastically, mostly through severely reducing the vibrations through the shelf and wall, but also it seems to have lessened the motor noise a bit. The first test was without any feet, the second with rubber stopper feet, and the third with spring feet. The spring feet performed the best for overall audio dampening, but the rubber pads were close. I'll be testing the performance on the springs, it does bounce a bit. I may end up having a final setup with both springs and rubber feet to alternate according to the print.

Design: I modified Thorped's design for branding, then I designed my own screwed foot adapters for rubber stoppers and springs. I'll upload a remix eventually. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:593072
