The combination of tannin, iron & calx creates beautiful colors for unique prints on textile. By folding, tying and binding fibers to dip in these 3 modifiers, darker hues emerge including grays, blacks, purples & reddish browns. Join me as I explore this technique with shibori ties of kumo & ne-maki, as well as gathered & cloud folding and binding to see how they compare as yet another technique to expand eco-printing in your dye studio.
