Area 51 is a secret government facility where many people believe the U.S government hides everything paranormal. It was established in 1955 after President Eisenhower Okayed its establishment and since then, there has been conspiracy theories about what exactly happens there. No one actually knows what exactly happens there but legend has it that it is a sight associated with aliens. Indeed, a very mysterious place.... With this being said, prepare, because here are 5 Things You Didn't Know About Area 51! Lets...Begin.

1. Boyd Bushman Confession

In 2014, an aerospace engineer came forward with a deathbed confession of existence of aliens in Area 51. He sensationally claimed that his friends in the aerospace engineering had provided him with damning evidence of the existence of extraterrestrial beings. He said that he was part of the team that was involved in the creation and implementation of the anti-gravity technology in Area 51. During this time, Boyd said that he interacted with aliens that had the capability of travelling from earth to their home in less than 60 minutes.Although no one has ever tried to authenticate these allegations.

2. Unknown Reason For Existence

It is obvious that no one really knows why Area 51 was created and for what reason it actually exists. For a long time, the government had been mute about this location until 2013 when the CIA acknowledged that the area actually exists. But then again, that is as far as they went. They never really took time to clarify why it existed, only saying that it is a location used by the government to conduct some experiments and tests. Until then, the secrecy surrounding the Area 51 remains a complete mystery.

3. BBC Crew Barged In

The BBC crew decided to go into Area 51 in 2012 and find out what was the secrecy all about. They barged in with their cameras and crew but instead realized there was nothing in the location. Instead of leaving and going back to wherever they came from, the crew decided to have some fun and started dancing around the location. As they were in the middle of their fun activities, an officer believed to be an onsite security personnel confronted them and held them at gunpoint. A background check was conducted on the crew as the CIA suspected that they could be spies but they were later released.

4. Moon Landing Tests

To date, a lot of people still believe that Moon landing was faked and that Area 51 was the supposed place of filming for the Apollo 11 moon landing. While several people have gone the extra mile to discredit the theory that it was a fake, conspiracy theorists believe that this was an act performed at Area 51 to hoodwink the public that America had won the space race against the Soviets. Whether Armstrong really set foot on the moon still remains a mystery but if it was a hoax, then Area 51 would definitely be the ideal place to fake the landing.

5. Mine Fight

Several families have apparently been affected by the tests and experiments that are supposedly performed at the Area 51. The Sheahan family were one of them. The family bought a piece of land just a few miles away from what would later become Area 51. At some point, the family experienced a near death experience when some government officials accosted them and held them at gun point. After the incident, the family did what any other typical American family would do; sue the government. The government then decided to offer them $5.2 million to vacate the land and allow for government expansion programs. They blatantly refused. When the dust settled, the family ended up receiving…well….nothing, for all their troubles. So as a result, the government still had its way...
