Von Ra - Live in Orlando 1999

1999 was a great year for local, original music in Orlando. Von Ra was one of those bands that played all over Florida and had a huge following. In 1999, they won two Orlando Music Awards for Best Pop/Rock Band and Live Act of the Year. They ended up getting signed by Elektra Records and renamed the band as Vonray and released an album in 2003. This recording is from three shows as Von Ra in 1999 from Pleasure Island on 1/16/99 and two shows from the Hard Rock Live on 3/13/99 and 5/28/99.

I do not own the rights to these videos, but it’s been over 20 years since they were recorded. The video was originally on VHS and it was dubbed to a DVD and now to a .MP4 Video format. I tried to get the best quality possible. I have not found any of this on YouTube so I’m hoping that this is allowed to stay up and give the fans a reminder of what a great year 1999 was for local musicians and Von Ra.
