In a first of its kind, an Inter-District drone competition is being organized by Drone Application and Research Centre, ITDA. The drone competition had participants from 13 districts of Uttarakhand, belonging to various Government departments such as UKSWAN, E-District, Police telecom, ITDA Calc, etc.
The two –day long competition was inaugurated By Shri Amit Kumar Sinha, IPS, Director ITDA. Speaking at the event director ITDA address the participants to encourage them to participate with full enthusiasm. He shared his thoughts on opening 13 drone schools in each district of Uttarakhand to develop Uttarakhand as a drone state. Considering the geographical conditions of the state, drone-trained youth can get better employment opportunities. Participants also discussed their own experience in the drone field with ITDA officials and shared their thoughts on how drone technology can be a game changer in their respective field operations.
