What is going on here?????? First it was Tampa, and now Boston gets Mitsubishi elevators? Mitsubishi is expanding so fast I don't know where they are going next.
The new Raffles hotel opened earlier this year in September, and since I found out about it last year, I have had my eyes on it to come film the elevators in here. However, before I could even make it out here, emails started pooring in with requests to film these elevators in here. I thought when I saw this place open, we would have Otis Compass 360, Fujitec EZ shuttle, etc considering the lobby here is on Floor 17. And lemme tell ya, when I found a photo of these online, I was surprised, in a good way.
So, a few weeks ago, I decided to come down here as we were already in Boston for some other reasons which are undisclosed, I KNEW I had to check them out, and I was so happy I did. Unfortunately, I can't say I am the first to film here, because someone else made it here a few days before I did according to Instagram, however, it didn't stop me from filming and seeing these awesome elevators for myself. And the quality of Mitsubishi is SO GOOD, I think these overtake the other hotel elevators in this area. Literally, these were as smooth as butter when riding them. And again, now that we have these installs, along with 400 Summer Street, I wouldn't be shocked if there are more coming, or already installed. Unfortunately, MA doesn't have an elevator lookup, so we will just have to wait and see. Unfortunately, doe to 400 Summer Street being an office building with security, I haven't attempted to make it on those elevators yet, but trust me, I will try every trick in the book to get on those for all of you. But for now, these are very easy to get to. But you should all know that there's a bunch of people in this hotel walking everywhere, and film these elevators with a phone, and not a camcorder. But, I definitely enjoyed these, and I look forward to seeing more Mitsubishis installed in the Commonwealth here soon.
